There seem to be only two ways for humans to recognize the past.
One is through the "memory" that remains in our minds,
and the other is through "records" such as writing and photographs.
Since humans tend to forget things, our "memories" gradually fade away over time, and if left unchecked, our knowledge and experiences will be forgotten.
Its a bit sad to think that those impactful moments, like a paragraph from a book that completely changes the way we see the world or the feeling of being speechless after watching the climax of a movie, will disappear in our minds someday.
This app is designed to assist in preserving such valuable experiences through "records."
■ Features:
1. Record books, movies, and more:
After reading a book or watching a movie, you can make a record of your experience with that particular work. (Similar to reading nites or film reviews)
To make the recording process enjoyable and smooth, the app includes the following features:
1-1. 5-star rating:
You can rate the work from 0.0 to 5.0 with increments of 0.5.
1-2. Image search:
You can search for images of the book or the movie from its title. Image search is available for books, movies, dramas, anime, and TV shows.
1-3. Notes and Reviews:
Your notes or reviews will not be shared with others so you can write anything you want here. If you want to see other peoples reviews, theres a link to Amazon reviews.
1-4. Management of "Things I want to read/watch":
When your friend John recommended you a movie and you think, "It sounds interesting. I should watch it sometime," you can put it down here. You can also leave rough notes like "Hayao Miyazakis movies" without specifying a particular work.
2. Management of recorded entries:
2.1 Search:
You can search your past records based on title, authors name, notes, and date.
2.2 Sorting:
You can sort your records by title, date, rating, and other criteria.
3. Visualization of records:
You can visualize your records via graphs.
3.1 Count:
You can enjoy seeing graphs and be like: "I read 20 books this month. Hooray!"
3-2. Composition:
You can check the composition of your record and be like: "I watched 40% movies and 40% read books last month. A good balance between. Hooray!"
3.3. Frequently used words:
You can check your frequently used words in the memo field. For example, "I seem to be using the word serendipity a lot recently. Where am I using it? Ah, I see."
4. Personal best:
You can select "My Top 10" to manage your favorite books and movies. This feature can also be used for book management.
■ Things you can record:
You can record anything you like, from books like novels and manga to movies, anime, dramas, alcoholic beverages, and food.
There are countless wonderful works in the world from which we receive much inspiration and learning. The simple habit of recording helps preserve these valuable experiences within us, allowing us to enjoy our favorite things even more. If this app makes you feel, even just a little bit more, like "Books are great!" or "Movies are fantastic!" we would be more than happy.
